....An audience with Henry VIII.......for my birding group......
About fifty of us in the village hall......chatting til the lights went down and into the hall stormed Henry....wanting to know who the hell we were and what B******* was playing bloody Greensleeves!!!!
Henry wanted us to know he'd never had syphilis.......why he really, really had to get rid of the wives and where the hell was God???
He, Henry, had been dead for 469 years....been promised on his death bed that he was to meet his maker........but was still wandering around in Purgatory (or Northants) talking to the likes of us.......
Do see it if you can....the most wonderful and entertaining evening.......I'll put a link up in a sec.....☺

It was just brilliant - Henry was a very real, flawed, human being (albeit a dead one) and it was a fascinating experience.

See it if you can - a great night out (and a very educational one too).

My 'bliss' is simply being at home, having fed OH, and giving some of my time here (it's just started raining by the way - even more bliss!).
Reason? Tomorrow morning I am up at the Community Centre by 10.30 to help to administer our GREAT Jumble Sale in aid of Yorkshire flood victims. Just doing the publicity has taken untold hours, never mind my painstaking lettering on a banner.
If I'm still alive this time tomorrow,, I'll let you know how it went.
PS Now pouring down noisily :(
