Is There Good In All Religions?

There are sincere people in all religions. It is good that God sees those people and cares about them.

But sadly, religion has been used for evil ends. (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4)
News reports show some religions are even involved in terrorism, genocide, war.

How this must sadden sincere believers in God!

Birdie@ I have thoroughly researched my beliefs. From the time of Nimrod there have always been gods, this stems from the Tower of Babel when Jehovah confused the languages and the people dispersed around the earth, hence the similarities in many religions.

Because I believe strongly in a Creator there is no doubt in my mind that no matter what era I was born or what area of the world, I would still have the same belief that I have now.

As for seeking out others with the same beliefs, is that not true of all things?
Whether it be a sport, a hobby or an idea people gather together having a shared love. It had nothing to do with feedback - it is a human trait.

I haven't read any of the replies to your post/question, but about 3 hours ago I watched 2 videos from 2 different Mosque leaders.

They were both very disturbing, and I will post them on here tomorrow when I have time.

Actually, the first Jehovahs witness was Abel, he was killed for his service to his God Jehovah. Noah was a Jehovahs Witness, he witnessed to the people of his time about the coming destruction of the wicked world that existed then, just as today JWs warn of the coming destruction of the modern wicked world. Yes, I know that the Egyptians worshipped many God, so do the Hindus of today. In fact, many religions worship many Gods, but that still does not mean there is not one True God.

I do not follow any principles set down by any one man only those set out by Jesus Christ. Russell just happened to be the one who realized that many of the religious leaders were teaching things that the Bible did not. eg hell fire, the soul lives on after death, and people do not go to heaven.

Religions, having no basis in fact, are wide open to a host of interpretations, none having any more basis for determining the validity of one over the other, all claiming the sanction and justification of an alleged almighty god for any actions purportedly done in 'His' name and on 'His' behalf, a prescription for countless atrocities carried out and witnessed throughout the history of religious belief.

Birdie@I do not tell lies and I am not lying. You asked what religion I would have been if I lived in Egypt. Well, the Hebrews lived in Egypt and they worshipped the God Jehovah. And so would I have. Also at the time of the Exodus, many Egyptians changed their beliefs and followed the Hebrews out of the land of Egypt.

Jehovahs witnesses have been around since the very beginning. Just because the name was not used does not mean there were none.

Adam and Eve believed in Jehovah God, so did their sons. Noah, Abraham King David, Solomon, Jonah,Jesus Christ and his disciples all believed in Jehovah and talked about him (witnessed about him), Read the book of Psalms, Book of Job, Jonah and in fact, all the books of the Bible.

It gives a history as well as prophecy of the future.

That's why you don't understand, you only take bits and pieces or listen to those who don't understand. It would take you about 5 years to read the Bible thoroughly and even more to understand it and even then you wouldnot be able understand everything in it.

Even the priests and religious leaders attend theological college for some years before they qualify to their standards. BTW, that is not God's standards.
