What I find amazing is how much evil in the world correlates not only to the belief that God exists but is a direct consequence of doing what one believes to be God's will. Most prophecies are likewise fulfilled by those more intent on believing than questioning the actions that make them inevitable. The better one gets to know ones God the less justification one will find for believing that God exists.

The problem about prophecying on the lines of Mystic Meg
" I see bad things happening in the future - Father against son, dog against cat - and the budgerigar will attack the eagle!"

is that you can always construe them to be true ( somewhere with someone )
OK the budgerigar bit is a bit difficult

The apocalyptic bits of the bible ( towards the end of the NT) were believed to fit The End of the World at that time
so you could say there is a 2000 y delay in the loop

and 1645 - big millenarial movement at that time ( Lilburn)
