This proves the impossibility of evolution by random change and natural selection, but rather the imperative of Intelligent Design.
The Great Mind that created the universe, that is, God.
Would you spend twenty minutes or so watching it, and then express your opinion, or offer an alternative explanation for the conclusions presented?
Thank you.
//imagine if we could create any living thing we felt like. //
God can do that - allegedly. Got to wonder what possessed him to create some of the more unsavoury things he came up with. Those worms that bore into children's eyes, for instance. Stroke of genius or a maniac at work?
Theland, you insist that your God is the creator, you insist that he’s just, loving and compassionate, so how do you rationalise those claims with his creation of horrific parasites like those worms that survive by burrowing into children’s eyes?
// Those worms that bore into children's eyes,//
can anyone tell me which disease this is ? onchocerciasis ? (River Blindness)
Theland you will enthusiastically agree that Evolution has not yet made a new species before our very eyes ( previous discussion or two ) - altho evolution can be observed in bacteria -so far a new species has not been observed
and so .... has intelligent design made a new species / animal before our very eyes ? do tell - and extinction where does intelligent design come into that ?
naomi //why does he assume the impossibility of his hypothetical bike thief hitting upon the right combination early on in his attempts to crack the code?//
Evolution works because their are many locks and many thieves all working separately. Only the thieves who cracked their lock very early got to succeed and pass on their lock picking skills to their children. Their lines rapidly became skilled locksmiths.
Around this time in any such thread, Khandro introduces the
Irreducible complexity theory which for anyone who isn't cognisant refers to a single system which is composed of several interacting parts, and where the removal of any one of the parts causes the system to cease functioning.
Bearing this in mind, can someone please explain the evolution of blood coagulation through incremental stages by natural selection , thank you!
Theland, are you familiar with The Omnipotence Paradox?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnipotence_paradox
If your God was omnipotent then he could not have allowed
'The creation to be corrupted by sin, evil disease included'
As you have just stated.
Or are you admitting that your God is not an Omnipotent being. Do you realise you have just told us that 'Sin & Evil' are more powerful than God?
