Truth you exist?
Truth that human nature is complicated?
Truth that Murphy Law is a real thing?

Or, because this question is in the Religion and spirituality section, definitive, evidence backed presentation of the truth of God? If this one is what you are after then there is not one shred of evidence that god exists.

Yourself.... but to do that you must be true to yourself. Bear in mind that no one has access to information that isn't available to you, so why hang on the words of others? Be your own man.

Theland, you do seem to tie yourself up in knots with all this religion stuff that vexes you so much.

There is no 'evidence backed presentation of the truth' - you are looking for something that simply does not exist.

If you want to believe there is a God, then fine, believe away, and be happy, and try and spend less time vexing yourself up to wazoo and back on a daily basis.

Don't turn, just travel life's path and see where it leads. If you want a life to follow look for real people whose way of living you admire and let them inspire not control you, keep your mind open to learning new things, and at least it will probably be an interesting life

I occasionally marvel at the levels of grief and unhappiness required to be a Christian in the modern world.

Not often, I have far more important things to do, like enjoying my life unencumbered by a God who decrees a life which I cannot possibly live with an ounce of enjoyment.
