You wanted a one to one dialogue.
Great.
You have always been respectful. Thank you.
So to begin, I believe in God.

Is this just for Atheist or can anyone join in?
Question Author
Respectfully, of course. But no traps and trip wires.
I am not going to spend hours doing research.
Just giving my opinions.
//Respectfully, of course. But no traps and trip wires//
How do you define traps and trip wires?

Just trying to lay the ground rules :-)
Question Author
Stick to the question. If I can't answer it, respect that. It does not mean what I believe is not true.
I am not an expert theologian, or a Christian who knows it all. Never claimed that.
Just want to deal with one point at a time, and time out for a joke or two. Can't help it!
Fair play.
Is there a question to begin with or just a belief statement?
//Stick to the question. If I can't answer it, respect that. It does not mean what I believe is not true//
Doesn't mean that it is either. Agreed?
Question Author
Agreed.
How is your mother? How are you?
Think of you often.
Thanks for asking Theland, appreciate it. Shes ok all things considered.
Now, what was the question?
//Stick to the question//
Question Author
"I believe in God."
That should generate a question.
Do you? That's nice....
//"I believe in God." //
Is not a question. Its a statement.
Question Author
Thank you Wolf.
Theland
"I believe in God."
That should generate a question.

Why?
I believe in a flying hippopotamus that wears a tutu.
So stick to the question. If I can't answer it, respect that. It does not mean what I believe is not true. ….
I am not an expert hippotonium, or a pachyderm who knows it all. Never claimed that.
Why do you believe in something that has never existed?
Question Author
Do you want to ask, "Why?"
Then that is a question.
Let me ask you one.
Why do you not believe in God?
Theland, what does the word believe mean in this context? and also the word god?
I also think that writing it as "I believe in God" rather than "a god" with a lower case "g" explanation in itself.
I see this as making it a loaded question.
Question Author
Well it didn't take long for this for this thread to be shredded.
Never mind.
I did try.
Rockrose is an expert.
What chance do I have?
That's me done.
Over and out.
Keep well.
oops that should be - requires explanation in itself
