Ezechiel 28 1 is a bit of:
Because your heart is proud,
and kyou have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,’ and so on
which looks in translation like an aramaic poem
but otherwise I dont see where it fits in
john 14 30 ( ouketi polla lalhso....ktl)I shall not thay many theengs to you as the ruler of the world cometh ( my translation) - at that is at least apocalyptic

Do you really believe all that bible garbage ?
//(NET) 1 Corinthians 1. 27 But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong
(NET) 1 Corinthians 3 18 .19 Let no one deceive himself: If anyone - you thinks he is wise in this system of things, let him become a fool, so that he may become wise
Job 5 .13 . He catches the wise in their own cunning,+
So that the plans of the shrewd are thwarted.
Job 5 .20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this system of things? Has not God made the wisdom of the world foolish?
/this is my answer to your foolishness

Just like you --From the beginning of time many people have said there is no God .he does not exists
Time and time again he GOD proved them wrong
From the Bible but we also have many true accounts like Babylon the Great and no one have lived there since God put a curse on it . { history } Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 CE when the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem that was forecast even 3 years before it happen ?
The Roman s RECORDED it in stone- would be left - on a stone of there Victory in Rome TO THIS DAY ?
Babylon the Great - there has been no one living there since it was cursed by God and still today .?
set to reminder - - they have found the place where Sodom and Gomorrah - should have been - Full of sulphur -and no one lives there any more because of God's cursed ?
I could go on- But I look for the history from other sources Not just only the Bible - and the history will backup most ? - but not all - All of the things which are related to the holy writings of the Bible
I could copy from YouTube and the history but you would only look up and say his copy and paste again.

Theland - // History will teach nothing to the unbeliever, Locusts. //
You are entirely wrong Theland - once again.
I am a firm believer that history teaches Mankind endless priceless lessons, it teaches him where he has been, both good and bad, and should be used as a guide for where he is going in the future.
But that is not the same as shoehorning convenient coincidences that can be stretched into any shape at all that the writer wishes in order to bolster up his personal beliefs.
That teaches me that yourself and Locusts, and others on here, strain endlessly to find 'history' to fit with your vision of a world created by your God, while effortlessly ignoring the scientific evidence that underpins the legends you so want to believe.
So you are wrong, history has taught, and will teach me many things, but it will never teach me to believe in your God - I need far more tangible evidence than that.

Such as?
(I wasn't aware I was doing that.) //
I was referring to Locusts' nonsense such as this -
// From the Bible but we also have many true accounts like Babylon the Great and no one have lived there since God put a curse on it . //
I did a little light Google research, and it seems that the received wisdom on the subject is that Babylon refers to Rome, its 'seven mountains' being compared with Rome's seven hills.
Not sure about you, but I have been to Rome, and there were several hundred thousand people living there, who don't appear to have to the message.
That's as far as I am willing to go on a nice sunny afternoon - unlike you, I don't have vast swathes of free time to fret about biblical curses and endlessly trying, and equally endlessly failing, to educate strangers to think as I do.

Locusts, Babylon was located in present day Iraq. Iraq is populated.
Sodom and Gomorrah are thought to have been located around the area of the Dead Sea. As far as I’m aware archeologists think they may have discovered the whereabouts of Sodom but that isn’t confirmed. No mention of it being ‘full of sulphur’.
Jerusalem wasn’t destroyed. Rest assured it really is still there.
Interestingly the ‘mythical’ city of Troy has been discovered and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. How are you with the ancient Greeks? Zeus anyone?

Nailit, don't rehash the Tyre story until you read the history.
(Modern Tyre is down the coast from the original site, as we discussed some time ago.)
Bit hey, if it floats your boat to constantly pick holes in the bible, carry on. I care not. My faith is solid and well grounded, and I have nothing to prove.

Theland - // My faith is solid and well grounded, and I have nothing to prove. //
As I have advised several times before, you state that your fait makes you happy, and you have 'nothing to prove' - but the evidence of you on here most days fretting and arguing and trying to convince anyone and everyone that your belief is the only correct one, clearly says something else.
If you are sure you are right - who are yo trying to convince on here day in day out, and failing?

Theland - // Atheists on here seem to be only interested in the sport of attacking the bible, nobody ever seriously searches for God. //
Speaking as an atheist on here, I take issue with your observation.
I am not interested in attacking the bible, I am however interested in attacking the position of those who use the bible to back up their own interpretation of history, and the potential future of us as a species.
And you are quite correct, as an atheist, I an not engaged in 'seriously searching for God' - being one somewhat cancels out the other.
