I thnk they're breaking down atheists into personality types, which is as useful as breaking down christians into personality types. What's it all for? There are aggressive and argumentative people; there are live and let live people; selfish and unselfish people; evangelical types and the opposite. It's all something for analysts to find to do with their time.

As for the multiple types of atheist theory, you’re falling for psychobabble - but then I think it’s the penchant of those religiously inclined to complicate life. Rejection of the notion of the existence of supernatural gods is rejection. There are no half-measures - or even one seventh-measures.

idiosyncrasy, putting a group of people all under one named classification is unwise. (I am not saying you are doing this)
Terms commonly casually bandied about like god, democracy, socialism,capitalism, communism are easy to use, hard to define.
Best to ask the individual for clarification, but of course, as on here, they may choose not to answer.
