Are there any Muslims here who would be interested in talking to an atheist? I'm not looking for an argument; I'd like to understand a bit about Islam.

I think you need to report it so that the Ed sees it.

Ed; this post should have been in Religion and Spirituality. Could you please relocate? Sorry.

... or even Muslim. Muslin was named after Mosul.
When I saw the title in Computers I thought you were going to ask if anyone would get upset if you called your computer 'Allah'. :-)
Better of asking on Twitter.
Plenty of Muslims on Twitter
Plenty of former Muslims too.
I remember talking to a muslim who thought I was a christian.
When I corrected him that I was a non believer in any deity, that was deemed far worse and very terrible.
so it is, to most Muslims (none of the ones I used to work with, though).

I have asked this post to be moved to Religion and Spirituality.
Roy, Twitter I don't do.
Muslim athists (if there are such people, or indeed Christian atheists, although I regard both these categories as logical contradictions, as in "You're an Atheist" {said by an Irish violentist} "But are you a Catholic atheist or a Protestant atheist?" ) are welcome.
Allahu space bar?
move it to Ali's Snack bar.
Im not muslim but I did have some very interesting conversations with someone I met in Morocco. He was "our taxi" guy for our entire holiday. I learnt quite a few interesting things. I like to think he learnt a bit about my religion, (Christianity) too. We are still in touch via WhatsApp. Chats were very informative, enlightening and respectful from both sides. Unlikely that either of us will ever be swayed to join the other's faith but glad to hear more.
I did come across a hardline Islamic web forum.

It was a little like Answerbank.
well i must admit allen, I've never noticed the Ali's snack bar fringe on AB!
You will learn something about Islam if you watch these videos.
