During an impassioned sermon about death and final judgement, the pastor said forcefully, "Each member of this church is going to die and face judgement." Glancing down at the front pew, he noticed a man with a big smile on his face - the man was called Nailit. The minister repeated his point louder. "Each member of this church is going to die and face...

This needs some serious thought.
My original thoughts are that our world is indeed fallen, in fact the mechanisms we rely upon to produce healthy babies is also affected.
Theland, we know why and how it happens. It only requires "serious thought" if you want to blame God, rather than evolution and biology.
Your link is wrong, anyway. The most common reason for two faces, is not 2 conjoined individuals, but one.
Nailit, i have read the entire Bible so your lazy assumption about me is wrong, not for the 1st time
Nailit, there is a new testament a new covenant or did you miss that point when you ploughed through the Bible.
I can't give a ready reply to explain every OT verse you throw at me, other to say the OT forms the groundwork for the coming of Jesus and the bloodline to Jesus had to be protected at all costs.
The OT needs to be studied in that context
One of the best descriptions of our fallen world that encapsulates just about everything, from our human nature, our ills and sicknesses, our natural disasters including wild fires, tsunamis, earthquakes and climate change, and our penchant for violence, conflict and war, and establish that position as where we are, and then compare it to where we want to be.
We know in our hearts it shouldn't be like this, it could be, should be better.
We can't change the world, but we can change our little bit of the world

No argument there.

But I notice that, after my last post, you have chosen to leave God out of it - have you come round to rational thought at last?
I'm always rational Andy.
The science is rational and exciting as it strips away layer after layer of naturalism, and gets closer and closer to the essential as opposed to the contingent.
//We know in our hearts it shouldn't be like this, it could be, should be better.//

I don't see why? We would like it to be, yes. If God wanted a perfect world, why didn't he create one?
Maybe true love has to taste the depths of despair before being brought to a glorious conclusion?
God has said that He will be all, in all, as He eventually gathers us all to Himself, in a true loving relationship.
// true loving relationship// and yet, in the link you chose..... people with so-called disabilities are referred to has having gone "horribly, horribly wrong".
Not exactly much humanity or morality with religion, is there?
Theland - // ... he eventually gathers us all ... //

What exactly is he supposed to be waiting for? Haven't 'his people ' suffered enough already?
//God has said that He will be all, in all//

Chapter and verse?
Theland - // I'm always rational Andy. //

Since you believe in God, it appears that we differ considerably on what we understand the meaning of the word 'rational' to be!

Gods ways are not our ways.

Isaiah 55:8-9
New International Version
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

// //God has said that He will be all, in all//
Chapter and verse?

yeah agree this is just about the only thing God hasnt said - yet - erm so that it has been recorded, that is!

(not even hear if you goggle it)
for readers in full:
οὐ γάρ εἰσιν αἱ βουλαί μου ὥσπερ αἱ βουλαὶ ὑμῶν οὐδὲ ὥσπερ αἱ ὁδοὶ ὑμῶν αἱ ὁδοί μου λέγει κύριος
( translation called the Septuagint 330BC - jesus too much detail)

[not as are my thoughts as your thoughts....]

boolai translates the AB word "forts"
I think it is a pericope - one clause ( fort) balanced by another like clause ( hodoi, ways) connected by hostper
other translations use 'counsels'

thank you for that
