Don't You Just Love Attacking Christians?

My experiences on R&S are that atheists hunt in packs and love nothing more than to tear into a big fat Christian.
Oftentimes, this is accompanied by an almost world weary sighing impatience as if to say, ''Oh no, not another upstart! Right! Load the guns! Let's give out both barrels!''
Being told that I foist my views on the tired old atheists yet again, is just one of many typical comments.
Then there is the resident atheist ex fundie fervent, with his list of gods, his talking snake routine, and of course, the superior outlook that looks down on Christians as if we were something stuck to a shoe.
So, when it comes to kicking Christians, don't you just love it?

However I do ask questions here trying to understand how otherwise intelligent beings choose to follow some fairy story made up as a form of mass control, weather it be Christian, Muslim, Hindu etc.

have a day off theland, you start countless threads get the guano kicked out of you with logic and reasoning then run away and repeat. Like all theists you believe you are 100% correct and everything else, including all the other religions, are wrong. It is therefore impossible to have any sort of reasoned debate and you get carved up with logic every time, it's what is known as a turkey shoot me old china!

I agree with you Theland- I don't often comment on these posts because it upsets me the way people 'gang up' on any Christian. It's funny that people who claim not to care always have plenty to say on the matter.

The problem that any rational thinker needs to tackle is that the science increasingly shows that atheists are no more rational than theists. Indeed, as this thread demonstrates, atheists are just as susceptible as the next person to “group-think” and other non-rational forms of cognition. Suddenly, they think they can determine the terms of reference and write off other people's beliefs as "fairy stories" and the like. The very definition of closed-minded.

I've never claimed not to care - I do care - and although I sometimes have rather a lot to say on this subject it's rarely as much as some who do claim not to care - which I agree, is rather odd.

There is not 'ganging up' - this is a website not a junior school playground.

What you see is the same fervents offering their beliefs as facts and refusing repeated attempts to get them merely to concede that their faith is not the same as a fact.

Any that perceive 'ganging up' are more than capable of defending themselves - apart from which, no-one compels them to post on a virtual daily basis.

Were it not singularly impossible for them not to brag to everyone about how they have the aswers and no-one else does, or ever will, they could simply keep their pomposity to themselves.
