Atheists, of the many misconceptions believers have about atheists, what are some that you experienced directly in interactions with believers that were especially irritating?

Ok got it thanks Naomi well I am going to bed as it is 2:06 A.M. here in California but I really appreciate the help you and others on here are giving me as I go through this difficult period in my life of inquiry about all this religion stuff and figuring out whether I still believe to any extent or not and then how to deal with the people who will oppose my decision if I officially become atheist. I can’t stress how much I appreciate you Naomi as well as everyone else on here who has helped.
Goodnight. Sleep well.

Thank you Naomi. You enjoy your day.
Misconception not that most people deny God outright; on the contrary, one poll results from 11 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia reveal that, on the average, little more than 2 percent claim to be atheists. And atheistic spirit is prevalent—even among many who believe that God exists.

Yes, atheism may entail a denial either of God’s existence or of his authority or of both. The Bible alludes to this atheistic spirit at Titus 1:16: “They profess to acknowledge God, but deny him by their actions. compare Psalm 14:1.—The New English Bible.
Goodlife, //The Bible alludes to this atheistic spirit at Titus 1:16: “They profess to acknowledge God, but deny him by their actions.//

You're confused. I don't know any atheist who professes to acknowledge God. That, I would say, relates to hypocrites.
If only people would stop reading that book of filth, that claims to be Holy, without God Goggles on!

Its a mess of contradictions, barbaric laws, insane dictates and laws, unfullfilled prophecies, theologicaly contradictory, and general hatred toward mankind. (especially women)

But each to there own...

We would all do well to ignore goodlife.
He/she is to far gone into the cult.
//Yes, atheism may entail a denial either of God’s existence or of his authority or of both.//

There is no need for a denial, of something never proven.
Have to say that the most irritating aspect is...
Having the door knockers or street evangelists spouting that we need the Bible.

Then quoting the (many) disgusting verses of the Bible back at them.
And then been told that its out of context or you dont understand it etc...

(Funny part is asking THEM to put it in context then)
Usually ends with a ''We'll get back to you''
And never hearing from them again.
One of the misconceptions about atheists is that atheists are by definition rational or logical. Some of the atheists on here believe that our planet has been visited by aliens, others are drug-addled anti-vaxxers, others are clearly tapped in the head. It seems that they care so little about God that they have to bang on about Him at every opportunity, and are perpetually offended by the beliefs of others. If believers banged on about atheists a fraction of the time that atheists bang on about believers, I could understand any irritation.
"Each to their own." Hahaha, that's priceless! Comedy gold. Thanks for the laugh, Nailit.
//There is no need for a denial, of something never proven//

Powerful quote,
Going remember that....
:-)
Spungle,
I was going to make a joke about you, but nature beat me to it.
Typical Christian love...
Please do :-). The burden is on those making claims, whether God, ghosts, or anything else. Until they can, there literally is nothing to deny.
Live and let live, Nailit. (wot a weeper!)
//Some of the atheists on here believe that our planet has been visited by aliens, others are drug-addled anti-vaxxers, others are clearly tapped in the head.//

Some of the Bible believers on here believe that man was made from dirt and his wife was made from a rib. They both lived in an enchanted garden when the wife was decieved by a magical talking snake into eating a mystical piece of fruit. She then shared this magical piece of fruit with her husband who then took a bite and that folks, is the reason why we have cancer, earthquakes, tsunamis, wars, and bloody Piers Morgan!!!
Anti-vaxxers etc, I'm not sure how many are religious or not tbh. The weirdest thing I've seen here, is an atheist believing, possibly, in ghosts. But most, will go with... show me, and I'll believe you. Sadly, nobody ever does.
/// If believers banged on about atheists a fraction of the time that atheists bang on about believers ///

I've never had atheists banging on my door to spread their ideas, but I've had plenty of believers doing so - therefore your premise is incorrect.
Atheist isn't even actually a necessary word. Nobody describes or thinks of themselves that way- unless someone says otherwise.
//others are clearly tapped in the head.//
