Who else here believes that the Bible is inerrant?
Almost on every page there are discrepencies and contradictions.

I accept that there are those who accept the Bible as The Word of God but written by man.
Therefore having differing accounts (Particularly in the gospels).

But is there/are there, any Evangelicals about now?
Those that believe EVERY word of the Bible is inerrant

Ah, the catechism.
Dougie, in infant school I had to learn the Catholic Catechism by heart. I'd get my mother, who never wanted me, to help me. When I got to the question...Why did god make me?... she would raise the eyes heavenward and say....Well god only knows...for I don't. :-)

I believe the Bible is true and the inspired Word of God. I have no desire to enter into debate or discussion, but yes, I do believe in the truth of the Bible.
The Bible, as originally inspired, contains no contradictions or errors and gives us assurance and peace as we hide it in our hearts. By checking the many clear passages on a subject, a genuine searcher can gain an accurate understanding and the peace and fulfillment that comes with finding genuine answers of truth. A key point, consistent throughout the Bible is that man's body was "formed", his soul was "made", and his spirit was "created". This is one of the many answers to life's questions we can verify and build in our understanding as we read God’s Word. In our desire to read clear Bible passages, we look to Isaiah and Thessalonians:

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Isaiah 43:7

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:23

In these verses, God refers to us as three-part beings of “body”, “soul”, and “spirit” who were “formed”, “made”, and “created”. With this knowledge and understanding, many details of the Bible become clear and fit perfectly for us as we read.

This increased understanding and enlightenment on the topic of Body, Soul, and Spirit gives us insight into Biblical questions we may have previously been unable to answer. We also rejoice in the perfection and consistency of God’s Word.
Some religious historians consider that biblical literalism came about with the rise of Protestantism; before the Reformation, the Bible was not usually interpreted in a completely literal way. Fr. Stanley Jaki, a Benedictine priest and theologian who is also a distinguished physicist, states in his 'Bible and Science':

'Insofar as the study of the original languages of the Bible was severed from authoritative ecclesiastical preaching as its matrix, it fueled literalism... Biblical literalism taken for a source of scientific information is making the rounds even nowadays among creationists who would merit Julian Huxley's description of 'bibliolaters.' They merely bring discredit to the Bible as they pile grist upon grist on the mills of latter-day Huxleys, such as Hoyle, Sagan, Gould, and others. The fallacies of creationism go deeper than fallacious reasonings about scientific data. Where creationism is fundamentally at fault is its resting its case on a theological faultline: the biblicism constructed by the [Protestant] Reformers.'
As usual, the bible is quoted to prove its authenticity. That's like quoting from any book of fiction to prove it's true.
There seems to me something singularly stupid about anyone who thinks that demonstrating the lack of total factual, veracity of the biblical old testament, somehow negates & invalidates Christianity.
the bible.. abandon logical rational thought, embrace an irrrational cult
god loves you, but dont make him irate, bend the knee.
