Whats happened at LDV?

LDV the Birmingham based van maker has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons.What has happened there, one minute we are told they have record sales, next minute they go into fastrack administration (whatever that means) and within the hour are bought by an American investment company. Employees and ex employees are told that their pensions have been handed to the Pension Protection Fund as the new company now called LDV group ltd. have no responsibility for it.Also a lot of employees had shares in the old LDV.The papers said a figure of �750 million was involved in this deal,so where is that going. And all of this happens the week before christmas. Can anyone shed any light on whats going on there.
