Since they are both fans of each other no one is put on the spot. Nothing much wrong with the chat itself but unsure what debate it is expected to trigger.
Folk can believe whatever myths & legends they wish, and whichever helps them. It's going to be all supposition since faith is blind. And while it's interesting to hear how & what & why they believe, I'm unsure I learnt much.
Although it confirmed that I am not in a position to grasp some of what was said without a dictionary at hand 😁 particularly since I never felt that studying someone's guesses on things spiritual was a good and interesting use of my time. If things can't be examined and proven then that is relegated to 'leisure subject'.
If someone has proof then the onus is on them to explain & show it, not quote someone I've not heard of who also seems to be basing belief on guesswork.
Worth watching if you like that sort of cosy chat, but not unless.
The point was made that faith can encourage you to take on things you might otherwise avoid. It occurs to me that, that is a double edged sword though. The decent sort may use it to find the courage to tackle that which needs sorting; but the less than moral type can use the same crutch to support them in enacting deeds of great evil.
