what is the meaning of life

ive went throo religious phases searcing,wondering,trying to understand everything about this life,,so bloody complexed!!! who really does know,,halfthe churches are cotradicting themselves,i dont think the sientists have a clue either,maybe some truth that we came from monkeys but i doubt it...wot about god? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv confused!! thoughts plz

Why does there have to be a meaning? Why can't we just...........be?

I was born (nothing to do with me), I've lived, I'll die (Again, nothing to do with me). I don't see a necessity to over analyse the ''why's'' of it all, I just am.

Its got be the meaning that you yourself determine, as far as I am concerned, its children, thats the only thing that really matters, procreation and bringing them up to the right set of values. Survival of the species.

As to Why we are here?, thats a totally different question.

I happen to believe in God but if you want to understand my view from a non religious perspective enjoy the world that surrounds you and make the best for yourself and family, there is also an interesting book call Sophies World on very basic philosophy which is very helpful, its told as a series of letters between a philosopher and a young girl.

I am sure there is a meaning- ie- a far bigger picture that we can't possibly comprehend right now. I think that as our eyes can't see ultra violet rays (yet a bee's can) and we can't see radio waves, but we know they are there, I think there is a level of consciousness that we are not developed enough yet to understand.

It's like when you look at ants doing their thing. They are instinctively working, making a home and breeding. Like most animals. But they don't know WHY they do it, it is instinctive. Yet we can look DOWN on them, and analyse what they are doing. We have a higher level of consciousness than them. For all we know, the Earth might be an experiment in a petri dish, and we might be being observed by another force.

Many of us get the feeling that there is a bigger force, and that is "God", but we don't know what it is, or where it is, or why it is!

We hope that good will prevail, and therefore we try to be nice to each other. Other than that, we do the same as the ants- keep the life cycle going.

i personally think that people who search for this answer are scared. scared in the sense that your born you grow up then you die and thats it, people are scared because they want a legacy, to know that a part of them is going to live on after death. stupid people will tell you that they will go to heaven or will be reincarnated which is utter nonsense again they just cant accept that your born you grow old you die. now of course i could be wrong and we could be being observed but with no shred of proof of that then you can only go by what you see around you every day. once you accept that you die and that you will be forgotten you will look at this place as paradise and it really is that. thats my humble opinion anyway. any thoughts anyone?

Its all about survival of the species, every living creature. animal or vegetable, to live, has to eat something that either is alive , or has been alive, so the real meaning of life, is to live.

I believe the meaning of life is to reproduce and live our lives in the most good positive ways posible.. and to help others live in the best way we can when posible..

And I also believe very much in God.. And I believe that is how God would want me .. and all of ya's to live..
