Does anyone know how to play the guitar standing up? Everytime I try, it always puts a strain on my left wrist and I don't wanna play sitting down as it looks dorky! Please could someone help? A website could be useful. Thx in advance =]

playing sat down never hurt John Lee Hooker's credibility.
Play how is comfortable not how you think looks good. Try adjusting the strap length a bit to get comfy. Many players have the neck up in the air so there is less of an angle on the wrist. you may be playing it too low on the strap.
learning to play the guitar is not only music, its pain also. if you practice for an hour a night your wrist will get used to it and your left hand finger tips will eventually go hard.I have been playing for years but I cant barr chords as my wrist will not let me, I have to use my thumb around the neck and hold down the sixth string with my thumb , which enables me to play most chords in full ,but is no good for intro's like the beatles "I feel fine". my advice is keep practising and do it the correct way that the experts tell you, don't do it your own way and get into bad habits as you will regret them later.
