Who sang 'tears on the telephone'?
This is a really old, cheesy song which features a man and a little girl singing to each other via a phone-call. I'm sure his name was Glen something?? It starts 'say listen, your mummy is she home, please tell her there's somebody on the telephone'

It was actually a French song, i could never find it, but apparently there was an english version, my friend was adamant about it.
If you could ever get this album it might be this if not the Irish version: : Various Artists / The Best Of SA Pop - Vol 1 (Disc 2)
Label: EMI Gallo Year: 1994 Gerry Grayson & Debbie on CD2 trk 17
Hope thats some use ...Happy New Year :>)

The Claude Francois song is the same song. It was originally recorded in French as "Le Telephone Pleure" and re-recorded in the mid-70s in English. Francois is probably best known for two things - co-writing a song called Comme D'habitude, which Paul Anka then re-wrote the lyrics for and turned into "My Way", and for accidentally and stupidly killing himself in 1978 at the age of 39. Remember, kids - don't attempt to fix a broken light fitting when you're standing in a bath of water.
