American series about psychics

It was on late on ITV, I think, about two years ago. I just remembered that I loved it but can't remember the title. A group of twenty somethings, all with different psychic abilities, possibly university students under the guidance of a paternal-type, professor who investigate crimes and mysterious happenings. I think one of them had psychokinetic powers and one of the women was 'special' in some way, ie. a plot was forming around her as some kind of chosen one. Help!

I found it by entering 'paranormal' into the imdb search engine. It's called 'The Others', just in case anyone was going as crazy as I was trying to remember. I think it's onyl available on NTSC REgion 1 though, unless someone knows different?

i used to watch that ,i don't know why they canned it,i thought it was a really great show

One word - ratings. It doesn't matter how much a show is loved by the people who watch it. Better that 10 million think it's okay but watch it, than 2 million watch it with open mouths and pounding hearts! I think with shows like Dark Angel or Point Pleasant, there should be a way to find out where the series story arc was going. James Cameron, if you're listening, please make a Dark Angel film that it explains it all. The X-Files did it with great success.
