Is it possible for someone who's divorced and remarried ever to go to heaven? If they divorced the new spouse and lived a life of celebacy from then on, would they be considered, or are they a completely lost cause?

I would concentrate on finding happiness during your life on Earth rather than worrying about the afterlife.

I'm not worrying about it at all, Gromit. It's a hypothetical question.
Divorce is always a very complicated issue and I suppose the answer depends upon which religous viewpoint you take and the circumstances leading to the divorce. I don't think anyone can ever objectively say who will go to heaven and who will go to hell because nobody really knows.
naomi...its ironic isnt it, that in the bible, the old testament patriarchs had multiple wives and concubines and yet you find a bit of happiness the second time around and religious bigots practically brand you a harlot...oh, wait a minute, your female. That explains it...men had multiple wives but women could only have one husband because they were considered property.Silly me, of course you'r a harlot because you did the unthinkable and decided not to be property anymore.
Femenism is obviously a tool of the dark lord.
