Yep I think you're right. He's certainly a controversial figure. has anyone here read The God Delusion?
Yep. Good read and extremely funny at time. I can totally see why it insenses the God Squad so much.

I bought a book called "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris last week and it's got a foreword by Richard Dawkins. Certainly worth a read if you are capable of thinking for yourself... :-)

I think he's a man on a mission.
Read one or two of his book s yonks ago - can't remember the titles (? help) but he's an obsessed ASH ...... in my opinion.

Also, he is on record as having trouble believing in a self replicating molecule, the basis of evolution. His explanation was that it must have happened, because ..... we are here to talk about it.
What's an ASH?
Its Theland's acronym for Atheistic Secular Humanist.

Sure, but only if I can call you an ARSE.

As in, "Articulate Religious Scholarly Eccentric?"

Why sure.
No.
As in - Answerbank's Recognised Stupid Evangelical
Both work for me.
"Touchez!" (.... goes away to look for book of clever witty responses, muttering dark threats of revenge ...)
