We are thinking of having our son christened, and was wondering how much the church service would cost? and is there a limit to the amount of god parents there can be? cheers

When my daughter was baptised 15 years back - catholic ceremony, (Her mother's beliefs) - she had two godmothers and two godfathers. The service was free, as it should be, but there's a custom that the clergyman is given a payment to say thanks.

Can't see why there'd be any great difference now?

A boy would traditionally have two godfathers and one godmother

and a girl would have two godmothers and one godfather.
