Brown? do you see him just pulling out? I always get a bit confused about war crimes.... they haven't commited any?
it's a horrible mire, and I don't like looking into it.
No, Brown shouldn't go attacking Iran. After all, Iran really will stop the pursuit of nukes won't they? And if they did get them, they wouldn't attack Israel or the West would they? We can trust the mullahs and Ahmadinejad can't we?
sorry, just reverting to the question: I don't really know that Brown is a warmonger (who would have guessed that Blair was?) but it's a fair bet that he's well aware how much the Iraq venture has cost the country economically over the past few years. He budgets to save money; Blair blows it on a seemingly endless war. My guess is he will find better things to spend it on, while not necessarily pulling out of any countries we've already gone into.
are most wars caused by religion? i think so. being religious never deterred t blair. illegal war. sad outcome for so many service mens familys. sad indeed
It's always raised, USA is the only country ever to have used nuclear weapons. Yes, but what is a conservative estimate of the number of lives saved by the 2 Japan bombs ? Half a million, a million ?
The most telling fact is that they haven't been used since, and this is something we can squarely thank the USA for. In Iran's hands, well, watch out Tel Aviv.
brionon - where the allies right to use the A bomb on Japan in WW2?
Before you answer, think! The Japanese had sworn to kill all POW's if Japan was invaded.
They swore to fight to the last man, taking a terrible toll on the allies.
But then, the bombs were dropped, and many thousands of allied POW and troops lives were spared.
So, come on, get off your moral high horse and tell us how you would have handled it differently.
