2 things to think on Spock.

If the NT writers made it all up, they did it really badly. For example who on earth in that Jewish society would have WOMEN discover the empty tomb. Women were considered most unreliable witnesses.

When the disciples made a nuisance of themselves after the (putative) resurrection, why did not the Authorities simply open the tomb and produce the body ?
