Suppose we're wrong. which god/which religion would you hope was the winner- let's pick the best bits from them all. I'd consider rastafari as I can appreciate their gateway to the almighty - any thoughts?

I think being a Sadhu would work fine in a remote village somewhere, but it is a bit self-gratifying isnt it? Just sitting there going ummmmmm trying to find ones own liberation? In practice then, as a true Sadhu, which god would you plump for? Shiva the standard of invincibility, might, and terror or Vishnu, creator and destroyer of all existences, or just any that suits the mood of the day and how numb your bum is?

I'm all for self gratification, I never understood religionists obsession with the need to suffer.
Ok I'll rule out being a sadhu as I can't even spell it - you're making this really dificult for me - I'm rapidly running out of religions.

S'all good. Carrot cake..not sure about that, might spoil my tea. Oh, go on then.
By the way - my answer to the question (although I'm not atheist so feel free to diregard) is that I'd love to get the religious fervour feeling some fundys get, I reckon it must be like a high of some description, but I doubt I ever will .
Closest I'll ever come is standing on an empty beach here in Ireland, listening to the birds fly over the sea and the waves crash and watching the sun go down, observing as mrs whicker gets lost in the moment. Nature's great.
