As for Heaven or hell, well the Bible says in the Psalms that "The meek will inherit the Earth" so that cuts out heaven, and as for the Hell that jesus was talking about, the original word was Gehenna or the valley of Hinnom which literally was the local rubbish tip outside Jerusalem where they used to put the bodies of criminals not worthy of a proper burial and burn them with fire and Brimstone. and that was what he was refering to. A bit of logic tells you that a Loving God would not allow people to be suffering forever no-matter how bad they were. Some people believe in the Trinity, saying that god and jesus and the holy spirit are one and the same, but Jesus said "The Father is greater than I" he also said "I came to fulfill not my will but the will of the one that sent me" and when he was dying he said "Father why have you forsaken me?" so how could he be one and the same? I can't believe that we just evolved from nothing, But many parts of the bible just don't add up, but thats another story.
The only thing you can be sure of in life is that you will die. You can't avoid it so there's not much point in being scared. Like most people it's the method of dying which concerns me more.
I can't believe that there is nothing after death but nor can I believe in the concept of heaven or hell. Surely there is a part of us which lives on but then again no-one has proved conclusively what form this takes.

I don't belive in heaven or hell but on the off chance it did exist I think hell would be better fun. All those interesting people to talk to, "so Hitler, talk me through it. What were you thinking...". as opposed to all those "nice" people that would end up in heaven. I don't suppose they would have many interesting stories to tell.
I do believe there is something after death. I've never had a near death experience myself but have read many books on the subject, i keep an open mind on most things in life, but some of the stories i've read certainly gave me food for thought.
I'm not scared of dying, but like the others have said it's how i die that scares me. I have had a few strange experiences that make me believe there are some things in life that we just can't explain.

Being the sort of person who is not keen on change, I quite like the idea of living. Of course, when the inevitable comes along, then being a pure coward at heart, I only hope it occurs when sleeping.
As for fear of the other side of the grave, no, I have no fear, as I am assured of a place in heaven, having put my trust in the Saviour, Jesus Christ, to have my reconciliation with God complete.
I do believe in the Holy Trinity, one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but that is probably a bit too long winded to explain on here just now.
Just off to watch Dr James McConnel on Sky channel 766 - he's a christian pastor in Belfast.

Theland,<//b> since you have no proof whatsoever to substantiate your beliefs, and taking into account all the other religions in this world (the followers of which, incidentally, all believe they have the answer), wouldn't it be wise to consider that you may well be wrong before encouraging people to take your stance? Without one shred of evidence, you promise them heaven if they believe as you do - and that seems to me to be an almighty (pardon the pun) responsibility!!
