Ripley, I hope you are feeling a little better today. Good to see you joining in.
The Bible condemns homosexual acts, and other sexual practices such as adultery, as sin.
However, Jesus forgave the woman caught in the act of adultery, and told her to go and sin no more. In fact, He was more hostile to the crowd who wanted to stone her, for not being forgiving.
Liberal Protestantism accepts gays and lesbians even if they are still active in their sexual practice, and, as you know, many have been ordained themselves.
Any church or person worthy of the name, "Christian," must follow Christs' example and accept all people, regardless of their sin, but it is up to all of us to try and live our lives according to Christs' impossibly perfect standard, trying our best to turn our backs on our own particular sin, and repenting when we inevitably fail.
