Today at work I took photos at the presentation to one of my colleagues who was leaving.
When I returned home and tried to email them to my work I find this isn't possible because they have been blocked! Now I will have to go in on my day off. They are only of speeches and a presentation of a gift so no naughty stuff. How can I get rid of the block and forward them from home before Monday? Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

It's not clear, from your post, exactly how the pictures have been blocked. I assume that your work's email server is refusing to accept jpeg attachments, sent to the address you're trying.

You could try putting the pictures into a zip file, to see if the server would accept that.

Or you could upload the pictures (again in a zip file) to somewhere like YouSendIt.com and then send the office a link to the downloads. The problem with that method, though, is that your work's IT system is probably set up to deny access to file downloads.

The simplest solution would be to put the pictures online somewhere. If there are just a few pictures, you could upload them, one by one, to TinyPic:
http://tinypic.com/
and then send the links, in an email, to your office.
If there are more than a small number of pictures, you could create a free online gallery at one of theses sites:
http://www.webshots.com/

http://www.flickr.com/

http://www.pbase.com/

Then you could just email the gallery URL to the office. Of course, that assumes that your office has web access (and not just email). If there's only email access it's unlikely that you'll find a way around the constraints imposed by the company's IT team.

Thank you for your advice Chris.
I did try putting into a zip file with no success.
Think the best thing for me to do is take my camera in on Monday and download the photos to the work computer.
I can't understand why this problem is occurring because I have been sending work stuff including photos for a long time. No doubt our brilliant work engineers will sort it out. I am wondering if it is something to do with my new computer security system. Will show them your message.
Thanks again.
