The Lord Jesus said, "If you love me keep my commandments" Do you know anyone who actually keeps the commandments?

I am trying to keep the commandments. Just wanted some encouragement from others who possibly are.

oh. i reckon most of us do it in some way like not murdering and stuff, but the one about the god and sundy shopping im not really sure. never mind all the coveting.

Isn't there ten main commandments but about one hundred more little ones?

I asume you're only keeping to the ten main commandments.

How could I possibly know?
I know lots of people who don't kill or steal and who honour their fathers and mothers. But how would I know whether they make graven images or covet my ox or my ass? Or whether they commit adultery, if it comes to that?

N2Life, the only commandment that Jesus gave that I believe is worthy of consideration is 'Love one another'. That encompasses everything that anyone could ever need. And yes - I know one person who keeps this commandment, but oddly enough she doesn't claim any religion. No surprise there then!

I am not an expert on the Bible but my understanding is that Jesus left us with two commandments. Love the Lord thy God and love your neighbour.

To quote what Jesus said, "A new commandment I give you. "Love the Lord your God, with all your mind, with all your heart, and with all your soul. And love your neighbour as yourself". In the Christian denominations, these last two commandments are regarded as the most important.

Sorry - should have said, if a person can keep these two commandments, then they should have no trouble keeping the rest.

I appreciate your answeres.
While I am trying to keep every single commandment applicable, it does seem that they all boil down to treating others the way we want to be treated; ie loving one another.

There is a song by Matthew West called Motions, in it he says "I don't wanna spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything instead of going through the motions"
I am so there.

May the effort to keep the Lords commandments (loving the Lord) be a consuming passion.
