I am confidant that anyone with avereage intelligence left to their own devices will deduce that all religion is bullsh1t.
The problem is that each generation is brainwashed by the /parents/religious establishment etc etc. School assembly and bible reading etc I just saw as amusing ways of getting across moraiity.

1) Mum - Believes in God but not overtly religious. Dad - Staunch atheist.
2) Yes. Went to C of E infant/junior school so regular visits to church. Went to Sunday school a handful of times but felt very uncomfortable and hated it. Refused to go back.
3) See above. In senior school only the usual R.E. lessons.
I respect other's rights to believe what they wish though.

1) Were your parents religious believers?
2) Did you go to church or Sunday school as a child?
3) Did you get any religion at school?
1) Father, no. Mother, more "spiritual" than religious, not affiliated to any specific religion but reads Bhagavad Gita, Buddhist texts, etc. Although she did have a few years with the Worldwide Church of God for some strange reason!
2) Only during the Worldwide Church of God years (ages 6-11). Didn't get any bloody Xmas presents during that time either. I stopped going before my Mum did though.
3) Not really. Just learned about "what people believe" in RE rather than having beliefs put upon me. Did have a science teacher that wasn't afraid to have a good anti-god/religion rant every now and then which I think helped me form my own views.
