Will someone who claims to be a Jedi for example suddenly pop up and demand, say, Wednesdays off? I think it preferable that religion be kept out of the workplace altogether. Those who take a job that requires staffing every hour of every day of the year, but who feel they cannot work on particular days, should really look elsehwere for employment.
I know that, ummmm, but since the article says It is down to individual forces to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate the religion or beliefs of individual officers, as far as operational requirements permit, I am talking about a point of principle. What's good for one is good for another - or isn't it?
