I know we all have traits that our parents bestow on us.. honesty, manners, looks, etc

However today whilst speaking to Mum, we both came up with exactly the same answer to a quandary.... and the thing is the answer wasnt straight forward... yet we had both come up with a really daft answer to the quandry.

I know Great Minds think alike... so it didnt really perturb me.

When did you realise you are like one or more of your parents?

And did it worry you or make you feel fab?

Everyone is unique but...

My cousin asked me the same question and when I gave that answer she said: "People say I can be a b!tch like my mother."

LoL
I realised I'd turned into my mother when I said to my daughter........You're not going out of MY house dressed like THAT....
LOL blanche.
My mother has never said that to me craft but I was always a bit of a tomboy. I say it to my daughter though.

I've also never been asked to turn my music down as I lived in a pub and no one could hear my music. I say it to my daughter all the time.

I look like my Mum but have the mannerism of my Dad.
Oh and Devil....I didn't realise. I've had it pointed out time and time again.

Question Author
mmm pericat... cant advise why your hands were sticky....
when i had kids and i thought im turning into my parents when i shout at them and sound just like them
When I used to tell my mum to stop worrying about me. She said: "You'll be the same when you have your own children one day."
She's right.
it is quite ressonable to be like your significant parent however the real thing is to grow to be your self
Question Author
milky - i can understand what you say in a way, but I was always "Daddys Girl" and I lived with my dad from age 12 when my parents split up.

so that doesnt work.

However mine was only a fun question as I already know I get my sense of humour from my mum and my sense of reality from my dad. I win both ways :-)
