Why is Postage "cuckoo" or "insane"
In fact, he is extremely logical.
The notion that the only way to speak to God is through the channel of formalised Christianity is palpably ridiculous.
That would suggest that either ...
1. Religion did not exist before 2,000 yrs ago, or
2. 2,000 yrs ago, God realised he'd got his communications channel all wrong, and He needed a rethink.
In reality, if there is an omniscient God, he will see into our hearts, and any means by which we choose to communicate with Him ... will be fine by Him ... just so long as we do try to make the effort.
So, Postage ... the mobile phone is perfectly logical.
It certainly makes more sense than going to Church.
