Haunted property

Hi, i hope you all dont think im crazy cos im not, but my property is haunted with various ghosts, to which myself and daughter have seen one of them being a woman, what i want to know is, we had a granny annexe built adjoining our property a couple of years ago, before we dug up the footings everything was fine, once the footings were out this is when the problems started, now a couple of years down the line, why is it that in the annexe there is always lots of flies throughout the year, not just summer like normal flies come out but in the winter months too, my dad puts it down to them like rotten meat due to the the buriel site under the annexe, where i live is well known to be full of saxon and bronze age buriels i could give you a website stating this, also my property is on a site where i had the paranormal investigating it, could this be right, only sensible answers please. Sounds like 'poltergeist' and 'amityville' combined. (amityville had the flies?)
You may laugh at this but when I first moved into my house I was enjoying a lie in one morning when I heard the floorboards creak in the next room and I saw a shadow pass under the door, I was sure I was being burgled. Nobody there of course, weird.

No Henkle i dont think your mad or nor am i going to laugh, my daughter has her friend in her bedroom, she killed herself 5 years ago my daughter moved out many months ago as she had a baby, but the bathroom is on the otherside of the house but i can still see her old bedroom, when im cleaning the bathroom i occasionally see a shadow come from one bedroom to the other and back again.

Maybe the media (films/books) help encourage some to attribute explainable phenomena to something unexplainable, but as an atheist I'm obviously biased. Still have an open mind regarding ghosts though, contradictory as that seems.

Whether or not you wish to believe in any supernatural goings on - I don't - you don't seem to be suggesting the flies are anything other than yer bog-standard corporeal ones. Flies are flies are flies and if they're in your annex not the main house it's because there's something to their liking in there. Perhaps it's particularly well insulated compared to the main house, thus protecting them from the cold?
It certainly won't be down to any meat from an ancient burial site; as Naomi said, it'd be long gone. Typically, you wouldn't expect anything more than bones after about a year. However, is it possible that you've got foxes or similar under the annex? They might drag carrion in there to eat.

Could be just spiritual entities, could be inter-dimensional beings i.e Demons.
You say your property is on a burial site which explains a lot, there would be a lot of energies around your house and you have exacerbated the problem with the building of a annex.
If it is manifesting itself more regularly seek help as they can feed off negative energies(your own fear) and shall not give in until it has run you out of the house.

tamirra, you know that Im also a believer in the paranormal but you have to look at the logical and natural occurances first. Dont just accept that this is to do with your resident ghost.
You need to get pest control in and have the place completely checked. More than anything, because you are trying to sell the property arent you?

Garmad, you are, of course, fully entitled to discuss supernatural matters until the cows come home and go away again, but it is not a good idea to use scientific terms like 'energy' when that is not what you mean.
Real energy (potential, kinetic, electrical, heat, chemical, radiation, mechanical, etc) is manifest and can be measured. What 'energies' are you talking about and how do you measure them? And what can 'negative energies' possibly mean?

You believe you have spirits visiting your place. Ok maybe you do, maybe you don't. I don't believe you've indicated anything to show that your main concern is connected to that, though.
You had a granny annexe built, and it seems to attract flies. Ok thing to do is find out what is attracting them. Regardless of how clean you insist your place is, something is drawing them there, and to get rid of the flies, you need to find out what.
I go along with those who suggest either checking it out yourself or getting a professional pest controller to do it for you.
