Claim free land ???
3 Answers
I am intrigued by all these websites that make it sound so simple to claim free, unregistered land.
E.g. claimfreeland.co.uk (amongst many others) Is there anyone out there who has succesfully claimed a piece of land from a similar website? Is it worth the membership price these websites charge or are they all a big scam? If anyone reading this is a member of a free land site, what land is available, is it mostly greenbelt? I mean whats the catch? I really appreciate any answers on this one.

But if you insist on getting into the property/ land market ... make me an offer on my plot ....
Very peaceful isolated setting, no crime and no neighbours to annoy you. I'm only selling because I just dont go there as often as I might due to work commitments...
I got outline planning permission to build a 2 bedroom log cabin, but Wickes wont deliver materials due to access difficulties.
If you can overcome this ... I'm sure you are the sort of person who will love it.

There are two different scams.
One involves paying for so-called information that there is unregistered land out there waiting to be claimed. There is, but you have to maintain it for 12 years before you can start contemplating claiming it through adverse possession. And the information is obtainable as to where such land might be found without forking out money.
The second scam involves selling you a plot of land claiming that the land will be possible to get planning permission. Most is agricultural land that has been carved up into small plots and PP will never be granted.
