Interpreting a dream

I had a dream last week where I was at a buddist temple carved into a red stone cliff, the walls were decorated with giant statues of people in prayer and between the statues water cascaded down. the temple was pyramid shaped with only one corner open to the views (although I never saw them) as the cliff surrounded the rest. I walked out to the corner, as high as I could and sat down to meditate under the flow of the water but as I began to relax Elephants and Rhinos crashed through the cliff faces and charged along the ledges of the temple destroying the statues - I woke before they got to me.

Any Ideas what it means?

In your behaviour you were mirroring the statues, calm and meditative. Yet the animals destroyed those statues and your moment of peace.
Do you feel that in your life that you don't have enough time for yourself? Or that you're somehow neglecting the spiritual side of your life?

have you been perusing through some glossy holiday mags recently ?
It means that you woke up during the dream, we all dream every night but are unaware of them because we don't wake up duting them. You don't worry about the ones you aren't aware of, why worry about this one.

Haven't been looking for holidays (couldn't afford one!) and i never said I was worried. I just wondered if it had a meaning...

I think your right. I am not getting enough peace, noisy neighbours and busy at work do not make for a relaxing time.

Statues and pyramids...both are types of icons that the Bible warns about...

(Exodus 20:4-5) “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;

Its up to you...
Obey God or not.
Obey god or not.
Pugwashjw...our mind uses images to process information or thoughts during the dream state
To dream of idols does not mean the individual worshios them only that the brain has used an image maybe gleaned from tv or a book to represent an aspect of thought....I do hope you are not going to work your way back through all the previous religious threads and resurrect them...it might get a little tedious

Ref: Vibrasphere, only the neighbours but positive thought seems to be doing the trick. Asking with my mind 'please turn the music down there is no need for it to be that loud' a few times seems to work! coincidence? maybe, but at least it's peaceful.
Pugwash, are you a Joeboe ?
AP, are you still alive? Can hardly get to my laptop for the plethora of handbags since your disappearance. I feel myself going under.
You mean you haven't been covering me in my absence ? tchoh!
