Is it possible for the hot water tap over a bath to turn itself on full blast?
Its happened three times since i moved in my flat in august, once in the day time and twice in the middle of the night around 3.00am
Its never a trickle, it takes me two full turns to turn it off. The flats i live in are not new, i would guess they were built in the 60's/70's any ideas?

If it happened in my house I'd call a plumber and have him take a look at the tap.
If my shower started up all on its own, I just might take the hint . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b7DKQx5SCw
Priest or plumber..you decide!
This is a very dangerous phenomenon but unfortunately I do not have enough time as I have to catch a flight in couple of hour’s time. I will answer this once I am back on 23rd Nov 2010. Until then all of you here at AB, have a nice time. And perhaps easy time for few.....................
^^ tut! No one with any sense will be holding their breath for your explanation Keyplus.
Keyplus..bathroom taps aren't dangerous when used sensibly. See my answer under science which does away with the need for a poltergeist by the careful use of that razor thingy (been reading too many mollykins threads)
cant even believe this is being discussed. the fact you posted this in this section suggests you are attempting imply this is the work of some supernatural force/being. the world gets crazier everyday........................... just get a plumber out.
