Last week (avoiding x-factor then as well) I asked what your fave movie scores were with music vids. It was a great response. This time, what would you say was the one smell that does it for you. I love the smell of fresh cut grass, another is the smell of (don't laugh) a pencil case, takes me right back that one! What's yours?

The smell of freshly baked white bread, roasting coffee, rain onto sun-parched ground.

My fave smell if that smell you get when you walk out of the air conditioned hotel into the Caribbean sun, the humidity and the aroma of bacardi daquiris do it for me every time

Dot. The daquiris I have ever had was in Cuba. While it was poured the waiter gave me a lecture on Ernest Hemingway and how he invented it. Memories

Yes I was particularly thinking of Cuba with my post, there was a definate smell to the place!

Anserprancer, I once saw a pro on tv that suggested baking bread whilst showing people round a house you're selling, seems it has a homely effect! dotty, I remember once stepping off a plane in majorca and the sweet smell of the plants was wonderful. I thought it was just at the airport but it was everywhere. The smell of the drinks came later I guess.

Ha -Cuba did it for me as well -i just posted last night a youtube on FB which brought back my memories of Cuba.
Cant go back tho as i cant spoil the time we had....sad:(

Other smell is a bakehouse -reminds me of my dearly loved Nannie and Grandad who worked in one for nr on 70yrs -very happy happy days :)

I love the smell of forests, and the air when spring is just around the corner. Hawthorn flower and privet flower scents, both remind me of my childhood.

LOL...so do I Butch - but not in the Mexican sense.
Also love the smell of the following solvents: acetone (nail varnish remover), toluene (Thixofix/Evo Stik), amyl nitrite (bum widener), amyl/pentyl acetate ("pear drops").
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a solvent abuser - just like the smell in small doses !
