Surprise, surprise, England lost out on the World Cup 2018 bid. Our bid team are all being terribly polite about the defeat, but you sense there's a lot they'd really like to say. I reckon Sepp Backha..., sorry Blatter, took great delight in awarding it to Russia while the likes of Prince William and David Beckham sat in the audience, and millions watched live on telly back home in the snow. Revenge is indeed a dish best served cold. Some may blame the British media for destroying our bid by exposing the corruption within the selection committee, however I suspect more will now be willing further such exposees on them. Why is it when I see Blatter's smug mug, I see a remarkable resemblance to Robert Mugabe?
