I have been on Ebay for 12 years now and have recently been the target of a troll.
It started when I had my wifes car on there. A zero rated bidder bought it but did not pay, claiming there was a problem with Paypal. A week after that I had another item which a >10 bidder bought but never payed. After dozens of messages sent/received they still did not pay. They came up with every excuse in the book as to not pay via Paypal.
I quickly realised that I was being trolled and when I did the same buyer then went and bought all the other items I had listed - again with no intention of paying.
It's pretty annoying but eventually I will get all my fees refunded.
Has any other ABer had problems like this. If so, what did you do to resolve the problem?
I have had a few sessions on live chat to see if they can do anything but all they say is that they will look into it.
I can't help thinking that Ebay is on the buyers' side these days.

the only thing you can do is block the bidder or start another account up in another name
when you see a bid with low feedback you contact the bidder and if he does not respond block him/her, what you have to watch out for is a bid put in just before the auction ends
After years of almost no problems on ebay I had two recently from two different people. One didnt pay but would not give a reason or (apart from one weird message) would not respond to me at all. Another didnt pay but said on email they wanted to talk about something. So I gave my phone number. They didnt ring. I phoned the number on their contact details and got a female who denied buying on ebay. All very frustrating. Ebay opened disputes and ended up cancelling both of these are refunding final fee. Spoke to someone at ebay about the inability to post anything but positive for a buyer. Both of these people had warning messages about non payment which I had not looked at as at first glance just saw 100%! Ebay told me that shortly things will be changing (back) so that sellers can leave negative ratings. I think this will be a big help.
I have several different accounts on eBay all of which have good feedback scores - it takes time and effort to do this but it is worth it in the long run. I am able to 'rest' an account if I have the sort of problems you are having and that does work.
