The domain name 'btcustomers.com' is owned by a small American company, Skystream Technologies. That company, and the domain name, might be perfectly genuine. (i.e. 'BT' could mean something else in the USA, so there's nothing wrong with Skystream Technologies having the domain name). However it's clearly nothing to do with our own 'BT', so the message...

scam. No address by your name and other ID, its a scam.

However it's clearly nothing to do with our own 'BT', so the message is definitely a fake. (I suspect that the email address has simply been 'borrowed' by the hacker who has tried to get you to click on something nasty. Skystream Technologies would probably be horrified to hear that their domain name has been used in such a way).

Any genuine reputable company would surely give you more than 24 hours notice. A scam.
>>>Any genuine reputable company would surely give you more than 24 hours notice. A scam.

NO company would delete your email logon and lose you as a customer AT ALL, let alone give you only 24 hours notice.

Unless of course you had your email address with an ISP and moved to another ISP, but even then they would probably let you keep you email logon for a while (a number of months).

p.s. This is why is good NOT to have an email address tied to your ISP. Use gmail or Hotmail or some other free email system, then if you change ISP you can carry on using your email.
Folly do not click on the link.. I have had emails from Barclays and NatWest recently and I dont even bank with them. Also Paypal, BT, Ebay, the list goes on. Apparently there is an Apple one now, which comes up in a window on your phone or ipad, where you must press Cancel.
What I mean is, they dont tell you to press Cancel but this is'what you do to get out of the scam!!
sorry nothing to do with the scam but seeing this just reminded me that when I upgraded to BT infinity I was eligible for a £100 sainsbury gift card. It has been about a month and a half and I still haven't received it. I just went on to my order to find a contact and it seems they don't just send you the card you have to request it within 6 months of ordering- something they failed to tell me when I completed the order. So thanks for the reminder ;-)
