Email rec'd from HSBC Security stating unusual activity noticed on my account, and very kindly offering a link for me to confirm my Security Details.
Certainly would be unusual as I don't have an account with them.
When I hovered the cursor over the senders email which was shown as HSBC Security etc
it showed the sender was '[email protected]'
Strange address for a Security Dept.
But sadly some people STILL fall for this type of thing, this is despite it being all over the internet, on every banking login screen, all over the newspapers. Although to be fair, some people are too stupid to be allowed within 10 feet of a computer.
Poor old Michael will be someone whose contacts list has been hacked so that emails can be sent in his name. The interesting link would be the one you have to click on to give your details.
Well I'm happy today because a lovely lady named Clarissa has sent me $3182 via PayPal; not once but twice - once from USA and once from Romania; must be a well travelled lady.
If I had a £1 or $1 in every bank account I'm supposed to have I'd be worth a fortune.
