E-Bay Problem
4 Answers
I am in the process of selling some memorabilia, among the items are signed posters.
I have agreed a sale of two signed posters, and the buyer is now saying he has received the package, and only one poster is inside.
I checked the package before I sent it, I am absolutely sure that both posters were inside, but he is sending increasingly unpleasant emails demanding that the missing poster be sent to him.
The only E-Bay advice I can find on their website concerns items that did not arrive - no advice about an arrival that is incomplete.
I have advised my buyer to instigate the Complaints Procedure - does anyone have any experience with this kind of situation?

It has happened to me and what I do, is think about how much I have made overall on ebay and just accept the loss. The vast majority of buyers and sellers are honest, otherwise ebay would have shut up shop years ago.
If he has shown interest in what you have sold previously, he will be back if you are selling similar items. All you can do is ban the seller from making any bids on your future auctions.

Thanks for the advice all.
Since I posted, I have endured a bizarre exchange of mails, where he wanted to see copies of the features of the artists whose signed posters he bought, then he threatened me with negative feedback if I didn't comply!
I advised him to go ahead, and I would report him - a couple more offensive mails, and he's gone.
A lesson learned I think for me, I am new to E-Bay, but I am a quick learner!!
