I've just had a text saying, "Royal Mail: Your package has a £2.99 unpaid shipping fee. To pay this visit: https:/ /royalm ail.unp aid-del ivery.c om or your package will be returned to sender."
Is this genuine does anyone know? Thanks.

Anyway, the vast majority of Royal Mail services (if any) don't require a sender to provide a phone number for the recipient. So, if Royal Mail genuinely had an undelivered package for you, how would they know the number to text? Further, why would they need to know your date of birth? (See the link that they sent you!) It also seems odd that, given they've allegedly got a parcel addressed to you, they need you to tell them your address ;-)

yes it certainly is a scam.Ignore it. If you reply they will ask you for personal details. Then most likely someone will phone pretending to be from your bank using the details you gave them. They work from a script and try and get you to transfer money to an account of theirs. Take care and dont be caught out. Your bank will never phone you.
