I have just had an email from 02 saying
Your O2 Direct Debit has changed – For information only, you don’t need to do anything .

Has any other 02 users had one .
My question is, is it legitimate

Well its not a scam as theres no request for details or links to click, so why would non-legit person send it. Cant you just look on your O2 online account?

It's that time of year when the mobile companies increase your bill.
The contract probably says RPI plus 3.9%, so it will leap up. If you are out of contract threaten to go elsewhere, or actually move. It's quite a cut throat market, but O2 will be banking (pun intended) on you not bothering.

Your O2 Direct Debit has changed – you do not need to do anything,
this is for information only

We’re getting in touch to let you know that we’re making a small change to our banking and the way we collect Direct Debit payments. As a result, we’ve stopped collecting from your old Direct Debit and we've set up a new Direct Debit to replace it.
You don’t need to do a thing

This replaces your original Direct Debit, which we no longer collect from.
This change won't affect your payment date.
You may notice your bank/building society statement has a comment about a 'final payment' under our original details, and a 'first payment' under our new details.
What this means for you

In the next few days you’ll notice a new Direct Debit has been set up with a new reference:
Ah, that's different. The increase will come soon. Plusnet have emailed me on my increase.
Surely by agreeing to the DD you allow them to grab as much of your worldly wealth as they choose to inform you of ?

all resolved , i've been to my local 02 shop and it's legit , apparently it 's a new billing system with Telefonica and 02
