I thought I'd done it by going to my PC but now I realise they've got different IP addresses?
so I still am being bombarded each day by McAphee sometimes 4/5 times a day , this lates one says it's a 65ty attempt to warn me !
I can't find a facility on my iPad to block it,

4 or 5 times a day - that's almost as bad as the begging bowl from Answerbank.

Different after the @?

You could block them just by blocking the word MacAfee or however they spell it in the filter

It's also coming from Boots ( fake) my grouse is I pay not to get such rubbish, On to Sky now and 'Mario' has gone to speak with security

Question Author

My call resulted in me being offered either Sky Sports or Sky Cinema free for 6 months, I told them it was a kind gesture but it wouldn't get rid of the unsolicited emails , I don't think they know how to either,so instead they've added a £28 credit to my Sky bill which I've accepted  but the problem continues

I didn't think they'd be able to stop the spam.  Try my suggestion - open the Filters in Yahoo settings and block Boots (if you are not a Boots online customer) and McAphee.  That will stop them

I'm a Boots pensioner Barry

I'll be stopping my DD to Yahoo though that's for sure ,that's 99p per month ( not year)

Are you using the iOS Mail app?

Question Author

Yes I believe so Gromit ( IPad)

I get no spam in any of my inboxes.   GMail seems to block them very well, I have several GMail accounts.

Question Author

I only have the two email accounts Barry

I use IPad and gmail. I block spam in two ways. Either by touching the three lines at the top of the email. Report spam or touch the three lines in the email Block====== . Name email from both work. Haven't heard from Macafee in over a year

Calmck, if it's the genuine MacAphee then it's easy to unsubscribe and block but this is fake stuff with a domain as long as 30-40 letters and numbers

Bobbi...I know it's annoying, but do as I do. I treat it as an amusing game...they are doing their best to scam me, and i'm not biting. Each morning I expect 2, 3 or even 4 mails from the same daft Yanks and it takes very little time to dispose of them!

Question Author

Thanks Ginger, I will

You can't block them, as they are different email address everytime.

As you recognise them form the subject line, don't open them - just bin them (ideally mark them as spam first)

The reason not to open them is depending how they sent them, and your email settings, they may be able to tell you've opened them, thus confirming they've hit a live address.

You could also use something like

https://www.mailwasher.net

I've not used that one, but did use one years ago for a elderly friend - it did the job and cut down what got through to her.  Just remember to regularly check it for any genuine ones that may have mistakenly got intercepted.
