Mobile Phone Scam?

I have a contract phone with Orange, I last upgraded in Sept 06 on an 18mth contract.

Tonight I have had a text from 'Upgde Centre' that says because I am a loyal customer, I can upgrade to a free Nokia Camera Phone and it gives a number to ring. The offer ends tomorrow, 9th Feb. Number is an 0207 prefix.

I called the number from work and when it was answered, said 'Hello, Welcome to WorldOptions..' or similar, explained that the phone call may be recorded for training purposes and then asked me to hold whilst they tried to connect me to one of their agents. I put the phone down at this point incase they charged me 5 per minute and kept me hanging on for ages.

I think I know the answer but...is this a scam? Has anyone else come across it? I have tried googling the phone number but nothing comes up.

Hi Cheeky Chops,

0207 is the Inner London prefix.

I had this text about a couple of months ago. I'm pay as you go and 10 will last me ages. I just deleted it thinking it was some sort of scam.
