Free virus software

i need a free anti virus software as i have got windows vista and so f-secure protection wont work on vista but i get a free upgrade in july so ther is no point me buying a anti virus software for a month . but some how my pc has a virus on it and need to clear it off so does anyone know of free anti virus software i can get please

Mac70 is spot on as usual.

I use Avast and am very happy with it. When I first installed it, it found a couple of nasties that Norton had let in!
