Renting my House Out
Hi
I am thinking of renting my house out as I am struggling at the moment to sell it.
My daughter who is a full time student and works part-time as asked me if she could rent it. I know she cant afford it from her income. But would she get any benefits to help or would she not get any benefits as it's my 9her mothers) house she would be renting?
Thanks for any advice you can give.

What happens when her rent payments dry up? Will you be willing to evict her? Honestly, its just not worth the hassle and you could end up falling out with your daughter.
Depending on the area, you should have no problem renting out to other tenants though. Whether the rent will cover your mortgage payments I dont know and there are other costs when renting too - agent's percentage, insurance, maintenance etc.
