Red Food Colouring

Can any one help my desperate sister ?? My niece has spilt red food colouring all over her rug any suggestions on how to get it out !!!!

try something like oxy clean, dilute with water and spray on.

if it is food colouring then soapy water should get rid of it. i use food colouring quite a bit and usually end up with it on my tea towels, but they always come out clean.

Perhaps not the answer you want to hear, but pick up the rug and throw it out in the bin. Then buy a new one!
